1992 Pontiac Firebird: "Second Chance"

This page is a collection of pictures showing the process of restomodding my 1992 Firebird.
This car will be doing its best to replace my 1984 Trans Am which I lost due to
a defective
Russel brake hose.

Ready to be worked on. That's the 350 from my '84 Trans Am you see in the foreground.

Bye-bye interior!

That's the frame of the dashboard, man was that thing a PAIN to get out!

Floorpan rust. Doesn't look real bad, right? WRONG! Almost the whole edge along the driver's side was
separated from the rocker panel. This floor rusted in WEIRD places, almost all HIGH spots!
The passenger side floor is basically 100% fine!

Check out that super cool hole rusted in the kick panel.

Gotta make the holes worse before they get better!

First patch welded in. This one is actually a re-enforcement for where the seat brace attaches.
(Please excuse my horrible looking welds. I'm learning as I go, but at least they hold now!!)

Second patch is in now! This one is in the driver's rear footwell area.

She may not look like much, but this little MIG works GREAT now that I've got some .023 wire and Stargon hooked up to it.
